| UPGRADING YOUR POOL EQUIPMENT February in the Southern Hemisphere is still the middle of summer and the pool is getting heavy use. If you have been having trouble with your pool pump or filter, then consider putting some money aside to upgrade the equipment over the next few months. Most pool equipment suppliers will want to reduce stock as the winter comes on so you will get a better deal from them. BACK TO TOP DON'T OVER STOCK CHEMICALS Although it is tempting to buy in bulk to save some money on pool chemicals, this is best done at the start of the summer, not near the end, some pool chemicals will go off just sitting in their containers over winter. This will be wasted money by the time next summer comes! BACK TO TOP DON'T GET CAUGHT USING LESS CHEMICALS Just because the children have gone back to school and are not using the pool as much during the day, don't reduce the chlorine addition while the temperature stays high. Make sure the water is safe and sanitary when the children come home from school and jump in, make sure they enjoy their swim with out any infections in crystal clear water. DON'T SUBJECT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO POSSIBLE INFECTIONS FROM THE POOL. Remember your pool is there to enjoy and you will be able to enjoy it if you keep ahead of any problems. A little extra cost for power and chlorine is far cheaper than the worry of a child with an ear infection. BACK TO TOP |
