AK 500/1000 - Single and Two Pool Controllers

 

Superior water quality doesn’t happen on its own and can drastically change in a very short period of time. Acu-Trol controllers automatically and continuously monitor pH and sanitizer, adding corrective chemical as needed keeping water parameters within preset limits.  Chemical automation is a must for all public and commercial pools and spas and its the law in a growing number of states. 

Data Recording 

Records time and date stamped data digitally, at any time interval you specify down to two seconds.  Data may be retrieved by any PC on site or remotely in your home of office. The data is easily manipulated with any spreadsheet program to generate reports and graphs.  Store the data on disk should any future need arise.

Every Acu-Trol controller includes a built in modem giving complete remote access. You can remotely reprogram, upload data, check the current status, receive immediate notification on alarms, calibrate the sensors, and much more. Remotely check the pool or pools at any time eliminating those unnecessary trips. To reduce operating costs you can use an existing phone line and share up to nine controllers on the same phone line.  Acu-Trol can also monitor your pools remotely and alert the appropriate personal as needed, 24hrs a day. 

Every Acu-Trol controller also includes a serial port for direct connection to a computer. Software is included for your PC for direct and remote programming, monitoring and data  retrieval. The easy to use Windows ™ like interface and extensive help screens guide you in programming and communicating with your controllers. All aspects of the AK500 are programmable with the PC, from calibrating probes to specifying the pool surface area. A software pool simulator is included for trying out different scenarios before actually trying  them on your real pool. 

Safety 

Acu-Trol controllers incorporate many programmable safety features including two types of overfeed timers, multiple hi and low alarms may be set for any measurement, paging on alarms, and the ability to disable specific relays if the alarm is on. A common ORP alarm may be set to 40 mv below the actual setpoint; then if the alarm goes off, you are paged.  Simply call the controller and verify the cause (out of chlorine). You can correct the condition well in advance of a no chlorine condition. 

Most Advanced in the World 

The AK1000 introduced many firsts in the world of pool automation: Multi Pool Control, Windows 95 Communication Software, the control of heaters in addition to chemicals,  Advanced FLASH memory technology, simultaneous RS232 and modem communication,  isolated chemical sensors and others. Since the introduction of the AK1000 in 1993 no other company has been able to even come close to the capability of the AK1000. 

Options 

AK2000: Potentiostatic Residual Chlorine adds a very accurate PPM measurement (not calculated) that can be used in conjunction with the ORP control.   AK420: Adds four, 4-20 milli-amp outputs to the AK100/500. Allows the AK1000/500 to interface with a host of other systems include security monitors, strip chart recorders, etc. 

Digital Flow: The AK1000/500 can interface with up to two digital flow sensors for with a measurement range of 0 to 6000 GPM.

The AK1000 chemical controller basic mode allows for the control of pH, sanitizer and temperature on two seperate pools, automaticlly, eleminating the manual time and effort required to keep the water safe, clear and warm. The AK1000 releases small amounts of chemicals as needed minimizing chemical overshoot which is much easier on the pool equipment and surfaces. The Advanced mode allows for the addition of PPM control,  multiple ORP and pH setpoints, even feeding acid and base using diferent relays. A super-chlorination cycle can include feeding tridhileoil afterwards to bring the PPM back down. The heater control can also have multiple setpoints to reduce the temperature during hours of non-use!
